Before you check firewall and control surface settings, make sure your device running Logic Remote is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac:

Change the Firewall settings on your Mac

Firewall settings on your Mac might be blocking Logic Remote from connecting.

  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu .
  2. Click Security & Privacy in the System Preferences window.
  3. Click the Firewall tab in the Security & Privacy pane.
  4. Click the lock icon at the bottom-left corner of the Firewall pane, then enter an administrator username and password.
  5. Click the Firewall Options button.
  6. Deselect the checkbox for 'Block all incoming connections.'
  7. Click OK. Try connecting Logic Remote.

If you still can't connect, check to see if you have a TouchOSC device added in Logic Pro, then remove it if you do.

Logic Remote might not connect if you previously added a TouchOSC device as a control surface for Logic Pro.

  2. Open Logic Pro X on your Mac.
  3. Choose Logic Pro X > Control Surfaces > Setup.
  4. Check to see if a TouchOSC device appears in the window. If so, select the device, press the Delete key, then click OK.
  5. If there are other Logic Remotes in the window, delete them.
  6. Try connecting Logic Remote.
