Scratching In Mixxx
I now understand the limitation of position changes because Mixxx's sound engine has to ramp up on a disruption but an elastic needle would be just as nasty. I'll take your word those a just for the mouse. Also I'm usure about Mixxx's strict definition of the word 'scratch'.

Apr 07, 2008 Scratching with Mixxx 1.6.0 This latest video of Mixxx 1.6.0 in action demonstrates what scratching sounds like with vinyl control. In the video, I'm scratching with a Serato record on my Stanton T.80 turntable, and using my M-Audio X-Session Pro MIDI controller as a virtual mixer. Mixxx enables scratching, hot cues, looping, and other effects, in addition to its core mixing and equalization features. Mixxx's stylish light-on-dark interface has identical controls for Channel.

Jan 06, 2016 Last week, the team behind the largest free and open source DJ software Mixxx dropped a brand new version of their application, Mixxx 2.0. The new version adds a number of major new features that make it leaps and bounds better than when we last took a serious look at the program back in 2012 (see our review of version 1.10), including four decks, FX chaining, RGB waveforms, and harmonic. This bug effects only the gain of the Mixxx output, not the transport. So your issue is a separate one. Please file a new bug, link the very good video and add also a vinyl pass through recording (the time code sound) from a scratching similar to that in the video. I assume we have an filter or something which is messed up with that fast. Put the two files in /.mixxx/controllers. Everything is as explained in the manual except for the FX buttons becasue Mixxx only have one effect. FX1 is the flanger and FX2, FX3 and TAP are high frequency kill, mid frequency kill and low frequency kill.
- Keylock has been moved to S4 pad so it is easier to access
- Removed Hotcue delete mode as I never used it, S4 now sets/plays 4th Cue*If a preview is playing, pressing the Preview button pauses it, otherwise it loads and plays a new preview
I have Mixx set up with reverb loaded in both Effect Rack 1 and Effect Rack 2, with each effect rack dedicated to it's corresponding Deck, so I can have individual reverbs.

The three knobs on the top left are LFO Intensity, depth and delay. Topright are unused.
Top row of pads flash when channel clipping occurs (too loud).
